takin a break.

Dear Readers,

I know I haven’t posted in a month, and I apologize. My father has moved in with me for the time being. I love the man…. but he brings chaos with him wherever he walks. i have no mental energy left over for myself anymore, and not enough creativity to write anything of interest. I am officially taking a break from blogging untill my life becomes less stressful.

Smell

Lets visualize.

In your hand you have a big bright orange orange. You take a moment to move the orange in your hand, getting familiar with the largeness of its round nature that is punctured only by its juicy protruding navel. Squeezing it lightly the slightest whoosh is emitted, and with your mouth slightly open you taste a surprise sour that jolts your thoughts into clarity. Lifting your finger you feel the smallest black and brown stem on the navel of the orange, which causes you to see the complexity of that stem for the first time that you can remember. Black and brown it almost looks like the petals of a flower, and the base of which integrates so flawlessly with the ever so yellow navel. the navel itself looks like the back of a sunny pen and slopes down to a deep orange world.

On this world there are many small craters that shimmer in the lamplight a bright metallic gold. you see the strange details in the craters themselves, each one has a radiating pool emitting light mist up, up, and up even more, following the trail of mist your eyes look down to the area in front of your nose. you close your eyes and follow the essence of the ester mist while it spirits it way through your nose and easily back through the tunnel to your brain. the ester brushes a patch of ‘hairs’ and YoU smell a mighty pine sap scent that puts you in a forest of green!

With great volumes,

Taste

Taste Requires the least amount of energy of all 7 senses, that is why it is the first on my list.

When something touches your tongue, the acid or base that make up the food go to work immediately. A food with high acid tastes sour right away and will burn your sensors lightly. A food with high base will be bitter and slippery. when a food ages the acid and base will separate and cause the complexity of the food to increase. In the end, all taste is based on the AproX. 40 taste sensors on the tongue, and how they define each layer of PH. :-D

With good taste,

Italian, sausage stew.

Today I would like to teach you all my favorite recipe.

Italian sausage stew. By Vincent Dicecco

Ingredients

2lb diced mild italian sausage (or 1lb sweet and 1lb spicy)
3 large chopped bell peppers, one red, one yellow, and one green (to represent an aged italian flag)
1tablespoon minced garlic or 1/2teaspoon garlic salt
6oz tomato paste or 8oz tomato sauce
1-2lb chopped potatoes (Russet works best)
1lb chopped onions (vidalia works best)
1/2lb crushed mushrooms (optional)

Instructions:

Mix (well) all ingredients in a 3-4 quart pot. pack down. DO NOT ADD WATER! set on high heat and wait for the tomato paste to bubble lightly. reduce to low-med heat. leave it alone for an hour and a half. place in bowl, serve, and enjoy.

With hope,
Draco Dormis Dececco, guardian of the never-ending dream.

P.S.: If you plan to serve this dish to an animal, remove the onion and garlic from the recipe. it will make them very sick, and possibly kill them.
